Who can become an Ambassador?

All individuals, no matter where the person lives, can join the open network CFPA Afica Ambassador

However, those who work in or have interest in safety, particularly in fire safety and natural hazards.

CFPA Africa Ambassadors

Supporting Fire Safety and Resilience Across Africa

CFPA Africa Ambassadors are individuals who support the objectives, aims and work of CFPA Africa and its members.

The Ambassador Network connects individuals who share an interest in fire science, fire prevention and protection, health and safety, and risks arising from environmental and natural hazards.

Applications are welcomed from individuals regardless of where they live. Ambassador status is granted only after an application has been reviewed, accepted and officially recorded by CFPA Africa.

Who May Apply?

You may apply if you:

  • Support the objectives and work of CFPA Africa.
  • Have a professional or personal interest in one or more of CFPA Africa’s fields of work.
  • Are willing to comply with the CFPA Africa Ambassador Regulation.
  • Are committed to communicating professionally and protecting the reputation of CFPA Africa and its members.

Ambassador Benefits

Approved Ambassadors may:

  • Become part of the CFPA Africa Ambassador Network.
  • Receive news and information about CFPA Africa and its members.
  • Receive information about conferences, webinars, publications, exhibitions and related activities.
  • Be invited to comment on proposals for CFPA Africa guidelines.
  • Submit ideas and recommendations concerning CFPA Africa activities, documents and training.
  • Be invited to participate in an Ambassador forum or designated communication group.
  • Attend a General Assembly conference virtually when invited, without voting rights.
  • Use the approved “CFPA Africa Ambassador” designation and logo, subject to the Ambassador Regulation and applicable brand guidelines.

Important Responsibilities

A CFPA Africa Ambassador:

  • Does not represent CFPA Africa and may not speak or act on its behalf without written authority.
  • May not present a personal opinion as an official CFPA Africa position.
  • May use only the approved CFPA Africa Ambassador logo.
  • May not use the Ambassador designation to imply endorsement of a business, service or product.
  • Must act professionally, respectfully and in a manner that protects CFPA Africa and its members.
  • Must comply with the CFPA Africa Ambassador Regulation.
