1. INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

 

      For people with an interest in fire safety and a need to keep in the fire safety loop through:

·         Receipt of the Association’s quarterly journal ‘Fire Protection’.

·         On-line access to back issues of ‘Fire Protection’.

·         Access to fire safety information through the technical advisory service.

 

      Use for overseas members and retired fire safety professionals.

 

      From 2010 Individual Membership no longer available to companies.

2. FULL ASSOCIATE MEMBER

         For Companies and Organisations requiring access to fire safety support functions.   Benefits include:

·         Membership card and certificate.

·         Receipt of the Association’s quarterly journal ‘Fire Protection’.

·         On-line access to back issues of ‘Fire Protection’.

·         On-line access to FPASA technical bulletins.

·         Use of the technical reference library and technical enquiry service.

·         Special members rates for training courses/technical

·         Members discount on publications.

         Certificates & membership card in registered company name only.

 

         R500 pa + VAT

3. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

      For Companies and Organisations requiring extensive fire safety support.  Benefits include all the benefits of Full Associate         

      Membership plus:

·         Use of the FPASA membership logo.

·         One hard copy of all locally produced FPASA fire safety publications.

·         Unlimited access to the on-line library catalogue.

·         On-line access to locally produced fire safety publications.

·         Website register listing.

·         Add other branches/divisions in the same group for R300 per branch with full Corporate benefits (subject to centralized billing for membership).

4. STAKEHOLDERS

       Stakeholder members contribute to the functioning of the FPASA through funding, AGM attendance and voting and participation        on the Insurer Project Advisory Committee (IPAC) which provided input,  guidance and monitoring of the insurer project and

       research work conducted by the Association which presently includes the Fire Brigade Evaluation Project, participation on SANS        Committees and representing the insurance industry on relevant forums such as the Fire Brigade Board.   Some funding is  

       channeled to goodwill work and support of the library/information centre while the majority of the funding is used to help reduce

       potential loss to insurers through projects/representation regarding legislation, legal compliance, codes/standards and best  

       practice regarding fire safety management and manual intervention both in the workplace and professional fire service response.         Stakeholder benefits include;

·         Corporate membership for main branch regional HQ.

·         Access to Halon Bank information.

·         Additional discounts on services.

·         Stakeholder plaque.

·         Feedback regarding projects.

·         Library/DVD loan facility.
